With the fire burning their eyebrows, HAGL awaits the hero of the Vietnam U.23 team to shine.

Having fallen to fourth place from the bottom and with the gap to the two bottom teams closing in, HAGL is hoping that the heroes of the Vietnam U23 team will shine to achieve their goal of securing early relegation survival.

HAGL is not yet safe.

Things are clearly deteriorating for HAGL. After feeling secure following victories against Nam Dinh and SLNA, and a draw against Hai Phong , the team from the mountainous region has unexpectedly dropped in the standings after losing two consecutive home games.

HAGL suffered a painful defeat against Ha Tinh , and are once again dragged into the relegation battle.

In theory, HAGL would have secured their survival early if they had capitalized on their two home games against two manageable opponents, PVF-CAND and Hong Linh Ha Tinh. However, coach Le Quang Trai's team suffered two consecutive defeats, with scores of 1-2 and 0-2 respectively, coincidentally with Trung Kien's absence due to the flu, and his return before reaching peak form.

With 22 points after round 23 of the V-League 2025-2026, HAGL is feeling the pressure from below, as they are only 5 points ahead of the two teams at the bottom of the table, Da Nang FC and PVF-CAND.

With three matches remaining in this season's league, meaning that theoretically the two bottom teams could have a maximum of 9 points, the team from the mountainous region will have to quickly find a win to secure their survival in the league.

For the remainder of the season, HAGL faces a disadvantage in terms of the schedule, as their only home game is against the extremely strong Hanoi FC in the penultimate round on May 31st, sandwiched between two away games against Thanh Hoa FC (May 23rd) and Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC (June 7th).

At all costs, HAGL must find a way to win again to improve their points total and get closer to their goal of avoiding relegation. In this situation, coach Le Quang Trai and HAGL are hoping that the heroes of the Vietnam U23 team, such as Trung Kien or young stars like Quang Kiet and Minh Tam, will shine.

Minh Tâm is very eager to increase his goal tally in the V-League 2025-2026 season to 4 goals.

In the upcoming 24th round, coach Le Quang Trai will need goalkeeper Trung Kien and center-back Quang Kiet in top form, along with Minh Tam's ability to create breakthroughs, for the match against Thanh Hoa FC, one of the most spirited teams in the V-League.

It will be a tough away game, where HAGL's defense will have to face threats from players like Ngoc My, Van Thang, Van Hoan... in Thanh Hoa FC's attack, or later from Van Quyet, Tuan Hai, Fisher, Van Tung... of Hanoi FC in round 25.

Similarly, HAGL will need more attacking flair, with Minh Tâm eager to score his fourth goal of the season, to break through the defenses of Thanh Hóa, Hà Nội, and in the final match of the season against Becamex TP.HCM at Bình Dương Stadium.

As coach Le Quang Trai shared: "In the match against Hong Linh Ha Tinh, we didn't play well and conceded two goals. Although the players tried their best and put pressure on the opponent, they were unsuccessful in scoring. I think HAGL needs to be careful, especially in the upcoming match."

The flu outbreak affected goalkeeper Trung Kien. After recovering from the flu and resuming training, his fitness level is not yet 100%. Hopefully, in the next match, Trung Kien will be back with maximum focus and perform at his best."

HAGL's match in Round 24 of the V-League 2025-2026 will take place at Thanh Hoa Stadium at 6 PM on May 23rd. In Round 23, Thanh Hoa FC played valiantly and created numerous difficulties for CAHN FC, only succumbing at the end of the match from a penalty kick.
