After a long period of negotiations, Mohamed Salah officially extended his contract with Liverpool until 2027. The "Egyptian King" will receive a salary of up to 400,000 pounds per week, a significant increase compared to the previous figure of 350,000 pounds/week.

Salah is paid a record salary in Liverpool's history and is on par with Kevin De Bruyne at Man City. Currently, Erling Haaland is the highest paid player in the league, earning £500,000 a week from Man City.

According to the Telegraph , if all add-ons are met, Salah will earn around £25m per season, equivalent to a salary increase to £480,000 per week. This is a very high figure compared to the average at Anfield.

Most of Liverpool's top earners are on around £200,000 a week, with Virgil van Dijk reportedly set to sign a two-year contract extension that will see his salary rise to £220,000 a week - still well below Salah's.

Joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah became a living legend at Anfield with more than 243 goals, including 32 goals this season, along with a series of major titles such as the Premier League and Champions League.

Speaking after signing the contract, Salah said: "I'm really excited. We have a very strong squad right now. Even before that, the team was great. I signed the new contract because I believe we can win more titles and enjoy football."
