Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, the director of the facility, said: From 17 orphaned children with special circumstances in the early days of its establishment, the facility is now caring for and nurturing 110 children (including 95 children who are beneficiaries of social welfare and 15 children who are beneficiaries of social assistance contracts).

The facility always prioritizes ensuring good living conditions and healthcare for children. Daily meals are tailored to their age and developmental needs. The living environment is also maintained in a clean and safe manner.

In particular, the children's education is a priority for the facility. Of the 110 children being cared for at the facility, 25 are attending preschool, 36 are attending primary school, and 9 are attending secondary school. In addition, 4 are studying at vocational schools.

Nguyen Hoang Phuc Mai, an 8th-grade student, shared: "I have been raised and cared for at the Phuc Lam shelter since I was little. My friends and I are all very happy here because it is always full of love and affection among everyone. I promise to study hard to repay the love of those who have raised me."

Mr. Nguyen Van Lam shared: During the process of caring for the children, he and the staff at the orphanage realized that what orphaned children and children with special circumstances need is not only material care but also emotional support and genuine affection from the staff here.

"Some children are shy and quiet when they first come to the shelter, but after a while living in a warm environment, being cared for and encouraged by the teachers, they have become happier, more open, and more confident," Mr. Lam shared.

At the recent celebration of Vietnam Social Work Day 2026, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health , Pham Thi Mai Huong, highly praised the achievements of the Phuc Lam Social Welfare Center - Shelter of Love. She hoped that these good deeds would continue to spread throughout the community, contributing to social security and building a better life.
