Cherry blossoms blanket Da Lat in pink during Tet 2026.

In the days leading up to the 2026 New Year, the weather in Da Lat becomes cooler. This is also the time when cherry blossoms on many roads and hillsides in Da Lat ( Lam Dong province ) burst into vibrant pink bloom.

At famous locations with many beautiful, old cherry blossom trees such as LangBiang (LangBiang ward - Da Lat); Cau Dat and Trai Mat area (Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat)... hundreds of cherry blossom trees simultaneously display their vibrant pink blossoms. The romantic scenery, combined with the fresh, cool climate, makes it a favorite spot for locals and tourists to admire and take pictures.

Ms. Vo Cao Thuy Huyen, a tourist from Quang Ngai province, shared: "Through social media, I learned that the cherry blossoms in Da Lat had started to bloom, so I arranged my work schedule and came here with family and friends to admire the flowers."

"I am very happy to be immersed in the beauty of the cherry blossoms in full bloom. We plan to stay in Da Lat for at least 3 days to relax and enjoy the flowers," she said.

According to local residents, the cherry blossom trees on Cau Dat tea hill were planted about 30 years ago to delineate tea garden plots and create a scenic landscape along the road.

Typically, in late October, cherry blossoms begin to shed their leaves and bloom around New Year's Day. For the people of Da Lat, cherry blossoms are not only a characteristic flower but also a symbol of spring, warmth, and happiness.

Ms. Le Ngoc Truc Vy, residing in Phan Rang ward ( Khanh Hoa province ), said that upon hearing the news of the cherry blossoms in full bloom, she and her group of friends traveled over 100km by motorbike to Da Lat to experience it.

"The road from Phan Rang to Da Lat involves crossing winding mountain passes and steep slopes, so it's quite tiring. But once you arrive and see the hillsides covered in the pink blossoms of cherry trees, all the fatigue disappears," Vy said excitedly.

On December 27th, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat (Lam Dong province) announced that the locality will organize the Cherry Blossom Festival - Da Lat Spring 2026, which will last for about a month.

According to the plan, the festival will take place from January 15, 2026 to February 15, 2026 to celebrate the beauty of cherry blossoms and welcome the new year 2026.

The festival includes many special artistic programs such as the opening ceremony, welcoming the new year 2026, and the closing ceremony at Lam Vien Square.

Local authorities also organized many activities in response, such as: announcing a destination map, cherry blossom viewing tours; flower viewing; and enjoying free coffee with the theme "Meeting in the blooming season" at Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.

In particular, visitors will have the opportunity to admire "Cherry blossoms in the Cau Dat tea region" at the Cau Dat tea hill and immerse themselves in "Cherry blossom dreams in the heart of the valley" at the Valley of Love tourist area.
