After 3 years of waiting, Danang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2023 has officially returned. The opening night of DIFF 2023 took place on the evening of June 2 with the name "Peace for mankind" and the opening competition between the two teams Vietnam and Finland received the applause of thousands of spectators.
As noted by the reporter, although tourism has not completely recovered and visitors to Da Nang have not been as numerous as before the Covid-19 epidemic, DIFF 2023 still receives the attention of thousands of spectators. The festival stands with more than 5.000 people were filled. The places to watch fireworks along both sides of the Han River also recorded a large number of spectators coming to enjoy.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh (in Nai Hien Dong ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang) early took his family to the park on the east bank of the Han River to choose a place to watch fireworks. “Fireworks have become a specialty of Da Nang. The festival has been postponed for 3 years because of the pandemic, so the whole family is eagerly waiting," Thanh said.

With a duration of 20 minutes and 25 seconds, the fireworks performance of the Vietnamese team was divided into 3 parts. The first part is a combination of music and the colors and light of fireworks gently to awaken the audience's emotions. Part 2 uses vibrant music combined with fireworks effects, describing the rise of Da Nang people to overcome difficulties after the pandemic, as well as peace with the world.
Part 3 "peaceful timbre" is the main part of the theme, combining majestic and explosive modern music. Thereby, sending the main message for this year's festival season is the wish for people in the world to have peace, stability and happiness.
DIFF 2023 took place from June 2 to July 6, with the participation of 8 teams, with the following schedule: Team Da Nang - Vietnam competed on the opening night with Finland. Followed by Canada - France (June 7), Italy - Australia (June 8), Poland - UK (June 10). The final match will take place on the evening of 6-17.
Each team has a 20-minute performance under the theme of each night agreed by the organizers, including: Peace for Humanity, Love Without Borders, Conquering Dreams, Dance of Nature and World Without Distance.
