On July 16-17, in Hung Yen province, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hung Yen province, term 2024-2029, took place with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Aspiration for Development".

Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien attended and delivered a speech at the Congress.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation, Party Building Committees, Provincial Party Committee Office, departments and branches of Hung Yen province; Heroes of the armed forces, religious dignitaries and 267 official delegates representing all walks of life in the province attending the Congress.

Over the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Hung Yen province has focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hung Yen province, term 2019-2024. Achieving and exceeding 10/10 targets set by the Congress.

With the achievements and results, in the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister (in 2021), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front awarded the Emulation Flag (in 2019-2021), 254 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 387 individuals were awarded the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Great National Unity"; The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province awarded Certificates of Merit to 337 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front.

The Congress elected 75 members to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, term XVI, 2024-2029.

At the first conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, term 2024-2029, Mr. Nguyen Bat Khanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Van Lam district was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, term XVI, term 2024-2029.

The Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province, term XVI, include Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh and Mr. Dao Xuan Dung.

The Congress also consulted and elected a delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 7 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Front work for the 2019-2024 term were rewarded at the Congress.

On this occasion, 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front for the 2019-2024 term were awarded Certificates of Merit by the People's Committee of Hung Yen province.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province also decided to award Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front for the 2019-2024 term.
