Cultural Colors of Tet (Lunar New Year) in the Ethnic Groups of Quang Ninh Province

Dao girls in colorful traditional costumes embroidering scarves, the rustic houses of miners, people gathering to wrap banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes)... these scenes are recreated in the Tet Culture Space of Ethnic Groups in Quang Ninh Province.

On the morning of January 27th, the "Quang Ninh Province Ethnic Groups' Tet Cultural Space" was held for the first time on a large scale in Ha Long City, serving the people and tourists to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The cultural space organized at 30/10 Square (Ha Long City) is considered quite unique, with small corners recreating scenes of Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) in the past and present, especially attracting the attention of locals and tourists.

The lion and dragon dance performance marked the opening of the "Tet Cultural Space of Ethnic Groups in Quang Ninh Province".

Artists and performers from Binh Lieu district, along with a dance troupe, perform the Then singing tradition of the Tay ethnic group.

The songs of the highland people resound amidst the bustling city streets.

In another space, the old houses of the Dao Thanh Y people are recreated, with generations passing down the culture and customs of their ethnic group.

This unique hand-embroidered scarf is made by a woman of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group.
