The Vietnamese auto market in June 2025 continued to witness fierce competition in the C-class CUV segment. After being surpassed by Ford Territory in May, Mazda CX-5 made an impressive comeback with sales of 1,500 vehicles, surpassing its rival Territory which only reached 1,109 vehicles.
Notably, the Mazda CX-5 does not have a big incentive program like the Ford Territory, which is currently still receiving 100% support for registration fees from the manufacturer and dealers. However, it is the stability of demand and long-standing brand that has helped the CX-5 maintain strong growth momentum in the context of increasingly fierce competition.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Mazda CX-5 continued to affirm its leading position with sales of 7,384 vehicles, far surpassing Ford Territory with 5,630 vehicles, a difference of up to 1,754 vehicles. This is clear evidence of the stability of CX-5 in the market, despite fierce pursuit from competitors who often have strong incentives.
While Mazda CX-5 has had stable sales in the first 6 months of the year, Ford Territory has had fluctuating sales, depending on the level of incentives at each time. This makes it difficult for the American car to maintain stability in the sales race.

Despite its dominance, Mazda CX-5 cannot be complacent. The Vietnamese auto market is entering a peak competitive period with a series of promotional programs from automakers and dealers. Therefore, Ford Territory is expected to have strong reversals.
However, if Mazda continues to maintain its current form, the Japanese CUV model will likely maintain its leading position in the segment until the end of 2025.
