MC Hạnh Phúc said that each Buddha's Birthday season is an opportunity for him to reflect on himself and the circumstances that brought him into this life. He feels grateful to be able to hold his parents' hands as they walk into such a special day.

Hạnh Phúc shared: "In Buddhist teachings, filial piety is placed in an extremely sacred position. The Buddha once taught that the gratitude owed to parents is as deep as the sky and the sea. Even if you carry your father on your right shoulder and your mother on your left shoulder for a hundred years, providing them with everything they need both materially and spiritually, it is still difficult to repay all their efforts in raising and nurturing you. Often, we think of our parents as the obvious support system in life. We are used to having someone waiting for us to come home, someone worrying when we are sick, someone rejoicing in our success and grieving when we stumble. Only when we grow up, when our father's hair has turned white and our mother's face is wrinkled, do we understand that the most precious thing is not what we possess, but the fact that our parents are still present in our lives."

"Amidst the resounding temple bells and the delicate flowers offered during the Buddha bathing ceremony, Phuc felt his heart overflowing with gratitude. Grateful for still being able to walk alongside his parents. Grateful for his father holding his hand and his mother embracing him. Grateful for still being able to call out 'Mom and Dad' whenever he wanted. Grateful for the silent love that he had sometimes taken for granted over the years. Perhaps the more one becomes a parent, the more one understands filial piety."

Concluding her sharing, the host of VTV's "Acts of Kindness" and "Loving Leaves" programs said: "Watching my two children – Trung and Voi – grow up day by day, I begin to understand the worries that parents have experienced. From a fever in the middle of the night, a fall, a sad day, to their dreams and milestones in life… all of these keep the hearts of parents constantly watching. A parent's love for their child is unconditional, doesn't demand reciprocation, doesn't need recognition, only wishes for their child's well-being."

"Standing in Tam Chuc Pagoda on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month, seeing my parents still by my side, and thinking about my small family with my two children, Trung and Voi, I understood that happiness sometimes isn't something grand. Happiness is having both parents, happiness is being a child, happiness is being a father, happiness is being loved and having the opportunity to love."

Unlike Hanh Phuc, this year marks the first time Miss Ngoc Han has participated in the Buddha's Birthday Celebration at Tam Chuc Pagoda. She said it was a beautiful and meaningful experience because she was accompanied by her grandmother, aunt, and uncle. She shared: "What touched me most was that this was also the first time my grandmother, at nearly 90 years old, had come to Tam Chuc. Seeing her happy and moved by the solemn beauty of the pagoda and respectfully participating in the Buddha bathing ceremony, the whole family was happy. Moments like these make me cherish family ties even more and be grateful to still be able to accompany my grandparents and parents on these meaningful journeys of life."

Director Truong Cong Tu is the organizer of the "Flower Blooming from the Heart" Buddha bathing ceremony, which has attracted much attention in recent years. He said that this is not simply the name of an event, but a call to awaken the profound values within the Vietnamese tradition of filial piety.

"Vietnamese people are strange; they cherish each other in their hearts, nurturing their love in silence. As children grow up, the distance between them and their parents widens like the setting sun. Sometimes, there's a wordless gap between the two generations; they want to touch each other but hesitate, they want to express filial piety but fear the awkwardness of ingrained habits that prevent them from showing affection," said director Truong Cong Tu. "The 'Flowers Blooming from the Heart' event was born with a simple yet profound aspiration: to contribute to enriching the culture and 'Vietnamese-izing' an already beautiful ritual – the Buddha bathing ceremony."

"Flowers blooming from the heart are a gentle touch to the deepest layers of consciousness. This Buddha's Birthday season, as the pink lotus blossoms begin to open on the pond's surface, please step back, look into your heart, look at your parents, to see that the most fragrant flower is not the one picked from the branch, but the one blooming brightly in the soil of the heart, filled with understanding and sharing."
