MC Van Hugo apologizes for exaggerated advertising of height-increasing milk powder.

After advertising milk as a "miracle cure" for increasing height, MC Van Hugo had to apologize to consumers.

On her personal page, MC Van Hugo officially spoke out about the controversial milk powder advertisement that has been causing a stir in recent days.

She recounted that in 2022 she started giving her son a brand of milk recommended by friends. Within six months, his height increased from 1.52m to 1.56m.

Having received complete product information and licenses from the brand, Van Hugo accepted the offer to advertise for this milk brand and has been doing so ever since. Currently, her son still uses the product.

Following the crackdown on a ring producing and distributing 573 counterfeit milk powder brands, the milk brand advertised by Van Hugo was unfairly equated with it, leading to widespread criticism and serious damage to her personal reputation.

"I am very upset and want to confirm that this milk brand is not on the list of counterfeit milk; it is still circulating normally on the market," the female presenter affirmed.

She added that the milk brand had provided her with a nutritional information sheet from the National Institute of Food Safety and Hygiene Testing. According to that sheet, the ingredients in the milk meet quality standards and permissible levels.

"My son is a consumer himself, having used the product for the past three years with positive results, so I always trust the product and its government certification," she said.

Van Hugo apologized for "personalizing her son's experience into an advertisement for everyone, while the product will not have the same effect on all children, and the effectiveness will vary depending on individual constitution."

"This has been a really difficult time for me. I will learn a valuable lesson for the future, and I am truly grateful for the understanding and support from my family, who always love me. I apologize to everyone for causing any inconvenience due to this unfortunate misunderstanding," the MC shared.

In recent days, images and video clips of MC Van Hugo advertising milk, with content allegedly exaggerating the product's benefits, have been circulating on social media. Specifically, in one video, she smiles, holding a box of milk, and says that children using this product will grow 1-2 cm in one month and 3-5 cm in three months.
