Messi admires Ronaldo

Lionel Messi shared his sincere thoughts when talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, who was his biggest rival for more than a decade at the top of football.

Messi affirmed that there is always respect between him and Ronaldo.

"I have always had great respect and admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, for what he has done and continues to do," Messi said. "Ronaldo is still playing at the highest level, which is really impressive."

When asked about the competitive relationship between the two, Messi affirmed: "That competition only exists on the pitch. We both want to bring the best to our team. Everything always stops after the final whistle."
