On the morning of April 28th (Vietnam time), Inter Miami visited New England for the 11th round of the 2024 MLS season. A surprise occurred just 45 seconds into the match when the home team scored the opening goal through Tomas Chancalay.
Having conceded a quick goal, Inter Miami appeared disoriented in their response. At that point, the team's brightest star, Lionel Messi, stepped up. The Argentinian superstar received a pass from Robert Taylor inside the penalty area and fired a precise shot into the near corner when facing the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute.
In the 68th minute, Messi once again shone with a perfect finish when facing the New England goalkeeper inside the penalty area. After Cremaschi scored the third goal, Messi made his mark with an assist for Luis Suarez to seal the 4-1 victory.
In the end, Inter Miami won 4-1 against New England, thus continuing to lead the 2024 MLS Eastern Conference standings with 21 points after 11 rounds. For Messi personally, the striker has scored 11 goals in his last 9 matches since the end of February.
