According to Arstechnica , Windows XP was an operating system platform that Microsoft actively supported for 13 years. This made its default wallpaper familiar to Windows PC users and one of the most recognizable images on the planet.
The sweater features a wallpaper that's quite familiar to computer users.
Now, Microsoft wants to evoke memories of this legendary operating system by releasing a series of sweaters – an annual tradition for the company. The blue trim at the bottom and on the sleeves is reminiscent of the bright blue taskbar of Windows XP. In case people don't recognize this style, the wallpaper also features a giant mouse cursor hovering above it.
Microsoft's sweaters are available in sizes from small to 3XL and are priced at $70 regardless of the version purchased. All sizes are currently expected to arrive between December 2nd and 6th.

Prior to the Windows XP sweater version, Microsoft had also introduced other Christmas sweater variations with designs featuring Minesweeper, MS Paint, the Windows logo, and more. Microsoft's sweater website also includes backgrounds and a few other classic Easter eggs for those who have a little time.
Microsoft announced that it will donate all proceeds from the sale of its limited-edition Windows XP-based sweaters to the Nature Conservancy and its "climate and biodiversity crisis initiatives."
