According to Insider Gaming , the state of the Xbox gaming console has been a major topic of discussion among gamers for quite some time, with many expressing disappointment with what they have received since the Xbox Series X/S launched in 2020.
Microsoft is unhappy with Xbox.
And now, even within Microsoft itself, there seem to be signs that the company is not very happy with the current state of the Xbox. Accordingly, in the latest episode of Jeff Grubb's Game Mess podcast, the veteran journalist revealed that Microsoft is not satisfied with what they had hoped for from the Xbox.
Grubb said: "Microsoft isn't happy at all, they're disappointed. You know, in my opinion, they didn't release any first-party games last year and that's made a lot of people regret buying their Xbox."
This news comes shortly after revelations that Xbox Series X/S sales have declined year after year while the PlayStation 5 continues to lead the gaming console market.
But there's still plenty of hope for Xbox to turn things around, as the company still has first-party games like Redfall and Starfield coming out this year. In addition, the racing game Forza Motorsport will also be arriving later this year.
