Microsoft has just announced the launch of Microsoft Copilot, an AI assistant designed to help users interact with technology and improve productivity. This AI solution will be available for free on Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing.
Accordingly, Microsoft's AI features have been integrated into a single experience called Microsoft Copilot, an everyday AI assistant.
Copilot automatically combines information from the web, work data, and tasks users are performing on their personal computers to provide better support while ensuring security and privacy.
Users can utilize the Copilot assistant as an app that automatically appears when needed, with just a right-click. The first version of Copilot will begin appearing in the next Windows 11 update, starting September 26, 2023.
The next Windows 11 update will add over 150 new features capable of simplifying complex tasks. These include optimized AI features in Paint and Photos, Clipchamp, Notepad, an improved File Explorer, and Narrator with new natural-sounding voices to enhance recognition and performance. These improvements will transform Windows into a destination for the best AI experiences.
The Edge browser and Bing search engine have also been updated with many new AI features. These new features include the creation of personalized responses based on chat history, an improved DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI in Bing Image Creator, and the use of encryption to add digital signatures to all AI-generated images in Bing, along with the creation time.
Microsoft also announced several new experiences and devices to help people work more efficiently. These include the new Surface devices with AI enhancements.
