Ramy Romany, an Egyptologist and filmmaker, shared on The Jordan Harbinger Show podcast that he suffers from a mysterious illness.

It all started when he opened the tomb for the "Mummies Unwrapped" program on the Discovery Channel. Inside this ancient tomb was the mummified remains of a figure believed to be from the Bible.

According to the show's script, Ramy Romany enters a crypt that has been sealed for many years. He is the one who opens the door and goes in to check for snakes or traps. Ramy Romany, not believing in curses, went straight down the stairs to the crypt. This crypt was very long and dusty.

Upon returning to Cairo, Egypt, he felt unwell. Ramy Romany developed a high fever, his body temperature consistently hovering around 42 degrees Celsius, and he began coughing up blood. Romany also experienced hallucinations and was critically ill. Doctors prescribed him high doses of antibiotics.

His health has improved significantly now.

According to Ramy Romany, the ancient tomb above had not been opened for 600 years. Doctors suspect that the cause of Ramy Romany's illness may have been snakes, bats, or dust inside the tomb.

The Romany prince believed he was under a "curse" from the Pharaoh. He said he might have contracted a fungal infection – a common ailment among those who had visited ancient tombs.

In November 1922, British archaeologists made history when they discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun (or Tut for short) in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.

Later, George Carnarvon, a member of the archaeological team, died unexpectedly in 1923 under unknown circumstances. A few months later, Carnarvon's brother, Aubrey Herbert, also died from the same cause.

Even those who didn't set foot in the tomb suffered terrible misfortune. It's believed he contracted the Aspergillus fungus when he opened the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun.
