Expanding and opening the concentrated Information Technology Zone, Software Park No. 2.

On January 16th in Da Nang, Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, along with leaders from several ministries and central agencies, attended the ceremony to announce the decision to expand and inaugurate the Da Nang Software Park No. 2, a concentrated information technology zone.

Attending the announcement and opening ceremony, on the Da Nang side were: Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; leaders of relevant departments and agencies and representatives of domestic and foreign investment partners.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh stated that the Software Park No. 2, comprising three buildings (ITC, ITC1, and ITC3), was invested with nearly 1,400 billion VND, built on an area of ​​2.8 hectares, with a total floor area of ​​over 92,000 m2, and is expected to attract 6,000 workers.

Following the announcement ceremony, Da Nang officially put into operation the ICT1 building, an 8-story building with a total floor area of ​​over 39,000 m² and an operational area of ​​21,000 m², prioritizing strategic partners, strategic investors, small businesses, and innovative enterprises in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors.

Currently, more than 30 businesses have registered their interest in renting office space at the ICT1 building, with a total registered area of ​​approximately 25,000 m², exceeding the available rental space of the ICT1 building.”

According to the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Le Trung Chinh, Da Nang aims to complete the construction of a smart city that synchronously connects smart city networks in Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region by 2030 and become a large, ecological, and smart city, a center for startups, innovation, and a livable coastal city of regional Asian standards by 2045, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
