"Over the years, we have implemented a school dental program to provide oral health care for primary school students. However, it has not yet covered the entire community in terms of oral disease prevention, nor has it provided widespread guidance on oral care. As a result, it is estimated that about 90% of the population has oral health problems."
"In implementing Resolution 72, the Vietnamese dental and maxillofacial sector will combine dental examinations with general health check-ups for the public at least once a year; and simultaneously provide knowledge on oral health care and prevention of oral diseases to the community," said Associate Professor Dr. Tran Cao Binh, Director of the Central Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital in Hanoi, on the sidelines of the 47th Asia-Pacific Dental Conference and the International Dental and Maxillofacial Science Conference and Exhibition held in Hanoi from May 12-14.

Hospitals have proposed that the Ministry of Health and relevant ministries and agencies issue policies to ensure more sustainable oral care for children, including considering mechanisms to guarantee payment and financial support from health insurance for preventive oral disease services...
