On the evening of April 29th, thousands of people from all over flocked to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to express their patriotism and await the parade and march celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.
Like previous rehearsals, the training activities for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country have attracted widespread attention from people not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also from all over the country.
According to HTV reporters, the atmosphere of anticipation and excitement among the people before the parade and march is heating up with each passing minute. Many people had arrived in the city center half a day in advance, all sharing a common sense of pride in this momentous historical day for the nation.
Many residents did not hesitate to spread out mats and choose seats along the city's central streets to secure the best viewing positions, ready to fully observe this historically significant commemorative ceremony.
In the Le Duan Street area, Van Anh – a resident from Hanoi – shared that to immerse herself in the joyful atmosphere of the nation's great celebration, her whole family traveled to Ho Chi Minh City to fully enjoy every moment of the day when "North and South are united, the country is connected." Van Anh also emphasized the sacred significance of the Great Victory of Spring 1975, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign – an event that brought independence, unity, and happiness to the entire nation.
The national parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country will officially take place at 6:30 AM on April 30, 2025.
