According to Vietnam Law, from the evening of June 12 to the early morning of June 13, due to the influence of storm No. 1, heavy rain occurred in Quang Binh province, lasting for many hours. Water levels in rivers and streams rose rapidly, flowing into low-lying areas, causing flooding in many rice fields and crops of the people.

According to statistics in Le Thuy district, 1,411.31 hectares of Summer-Autumn rice, 366 hectares of Winter-Spring rice and 7,152.35 hectares of regenerated rice were partially flooded, with a vast sea of water.
In addition, aquaculture areas were also severely affected, with 982.72 hectares of fish and rice areas flooded and 18.7 hectares of fish ponds affected, along with 5.5 hectares of lotus areas and 212 other vegetables submerged in water.

Currently, some culverts and overflows on the roads leading to Bach Dan, Tan Ly, Xa Khia villages, Lam Thuy commune; Cay Sung, Con Cung, Chuon villages, Kim Thuy commune are flooded and isolated.
Mit Cat village area, Kim Thuy commune was flooded, affecting 10 households/52 people. Currently, 17 households, 78 people have been evacuated to a safe place in Tan Ly village (Lam Thuy commune).

According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Le Thuy district, "Currently, the water level on Kien Giang river at 9am this morning is 10cm below the third alarm level. Continuous heavy rain has caused most of the summer-autumn rice crop in the area to be partially flooded. If it does not recede in the next few days, the risk of total loss is very high."

In Bo Trach district, 2,500 ha/2,670 ha of Summer-Autumn rice have been sown and planted, accounting for 95% of the flooded area, along with many points of separation and landslides, the deepest point of flooding is about 1m, localities have also placed warning signs and assigned forces to block off.

In Quang Ninh district, many newly planted rice areas and some crop areas were flooded, of which 2,383.5/3,200 hectares of Summer-Autumn rice area were flooded; 50 hectares of unharvested Winter-Spring rice area were flooded; 112.8 hectares of crops were flooded.

Regarding aquaculture on the river, 219 fish cages and 55 oyster rafts were also severely affected.
Not only rice and seafood were flooded, many other crops of the people were also severely affected in this heavy rain.

According to forecasts, the weather in Quang Binh will continue to have unusual developments causing heavy rain in the coming days, with the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, landslides in mountainous areas and flash floods in vulnerable areas.

The People's Committee of Quang Binh province has directed districts, towns and cities to urgently review the agricultural production situation and calculate the damage to provide timely support to people. At the same time, it has requested relevant units to prepare plans to restore production and minimize damage after this unseasonal rain.
