The latest alcohol concentration penalties in 2023.
Currently, the penalties for drunk driving are stipulated in Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP) as follows:

Will my vehicle be impounded if I drive under the influence of alcohol?
Vehicle impoundment (or temporary seizure of vehicles) is a form of punishment stipulated in Article 125 of the 2012 Law on Handling Administrative Violations.
Authorities authorized to issue fines for drunk driving are permitted to temporarily impound vehicles for up to 7 days before issuing a penalty decision for the aforementioned drunk driving violations.
Therefore, violating alcohol limits can result in vehicle impoundment for up to 7 days.
Note: For vehicles involved in administrative violations that are subject to temporary seizure to ensure the enforcement of administrative penalty decisions, if the violating organization or individual has a clear address, suitable parking facilities, vehicle storage, or the financial capacity to deposit a security deposit, the vehicle may be kept under the management of the competent state agency.
