In 2024, Quang Ngai will provide vocational training for 100 rural workers.

According to the Plan, in 2024, Quang Ngai province will organize agricultural vocational training for 100 rural workers, with the goal that after participating in vocational training, 80% or more of the vocational trainees will have jobs and higher incomes than before participating in vocational training.

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 103/KH-UBND on agricultural vocational training for rural workers in the province in 2024.

Accordingly, in 2024, Quang Ngai province will organize agricultural vocational training for 100 rural workers, with the goal that after participating in vocational training, 80% or more of the trainees will have jobs and higher incomes than before participating in vocational training.

The training participants are rural workers aged 15-60 (for men), 15-55 (for women), who have a need to learn a trade, have an educational level and health suitable for the trade they need to learn; rural workers, members of cooperatives, cooperative groups, farms, craft villages participating in production linkages according to industry chains, workers at rural community tourism sites; workers with permanent residence in communes, wards, and towns who are directly engaged in agriculture or households whose agricultural land has been recovered and have confirmation from the local authorities of their place of residence that they are participating in vocational training for the first time.

The goal is that after participating in vocational training, 80% or more of vocational trainees will have jobs and higher incomes than before participating in vocational training.

The training occupations are agricultural occupation groups specified in Decision 490/QD-UBND dated March 29, 2018 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the list of occupations, training cost norms for each occupation at the elementary vocational level and training under 3 months and Decision No. 238/QD-UBND dated February 27, 2019 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the additional list of occupations, training cost norms specified in Decision 490/QD-UBND dated March 29, 2018 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Rural laborers who participate in vocational training are eligible for preferential policies for people with revolutionary contributions, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, people from poor households, near-poor households, people from households whose agricultural land or business land has been recovered, female workers who have lost their jobs, young people participating in elementary level training programs, training under 3 months, with a meal allowance of 30,000 VND/person/day of actual study; travel allowance of 200,000 VND/person/course if the training location is 15 km or more away from their place of residence.

For people with disabilities and learners residing in communes and villages in difficult or extremely difficult areas as prescribed by the Prime Minister: travel allowance is 300,000 VND/person/course if the training location is 5 km or more away from the place of residence.

The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to organize the implementation of the vocational training plan for rural workers in 2024; sign contracts to order vocational training for rural workers for vocational training institutions, schools and centers that have sufficient conditions for vocational training and be responsible for managing and using funds for the right purposes and settling accounts according to current regulations of the State.
