At sea, amidst the complex developments of the storm, ships of Squadron 102 urgently maneuvered in key areas, persistently disseminating information, providing guidance, and urging thousands of fishing vessels to evacuate from dangerous zones and quickly find safe shelter. Each radio signal, each reminder, was not only a military order, but also a message of humanity and noble responsibility: serving the people, acting for the peace of the seas.
On land, the 102nd Naval Squadron mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the people and local armed forces to closely monitor vulnerable dike sections. In Dan Hai commune ( Ha Tinh province), where the Hoi Thong dike is located – one of the four areas most at risk of severe damage if the typhoon makes landfall – Coast Guard officers and soldiers braved the wind and rain, working shoulder to shoulder with the people to transport sandbags, erect wooden stakes, reinforce embankments, secure houses, trim trees, and move fishing gear to safe locations. Their orders came from the heart, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
During the tense days of responding to Typhoon No. 10, the dedication, responsibility, and selflessness of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 102 shone brightly, embodying the qualities of loyalty, devotion, and compassion – "For the people, forgetting oneself."
