On December 17, speaking on the Russian channel Rossiya, Vladimir Putin emphasized: "That is completely meaningless... Russia has no reason, geopolitical , economic, or military interest to fight with NATO countries." According to the leader, President Biden's statement was an attempt to justify a "mistaken policy" toward Russia.
Earlier this month, speaking before Congress about the allocation of a new aid package for Ukraine, U.S. President Joe Biden said that Putin “will not stop” if he wins against Ukraine and will attack NATO countries.
In this scenario, the leader noted that the United States would have to intervene, and then "American troops would fight Russian troops." According to him, the US absolutely does not want such a scenario.
At the same time, he urged the US Congress to consider approving a military aid package for both Ukraine and Israel. However, this aid package has continued to be stalled.
