In 2023, Hanoi University admitted students through three methods: direct admission and priority admission, combined admission as regulated by the university, and admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam.
Among the 25 training programs, Korean Language had the highest cutoff score with 36.15 points (Foreign Language score multiplied by a factor of 2), while the lowest cutoff score was 24.20 - Information Technology (no weighting factor).
Most programs at the university have a weighting factor of 2 for the Foreign Language subject, except for a few programs such as: Information Technology, Information Technology - High Quality, and Multimedia Communication.

The school also notes that the admission scores mentioned above include priority points for region and priority group as stipulated in the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Before 5 PM on September 6th, all successful candidates must confirm their enrollment online through the system. Candidates who do not confirm their enrollment will have to wait for the supplementary admission rounds of the universities.
