Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Open University have just confirmed that they have sent a text message informing 18 candidates who have been admitted to the school, transferring from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Previously, they were “disqualified” because the system recorded that they had been admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

Students can complete the admission procedures online at school without needing confirmation on the Ministry's system.
After confirming that this was a technical error, Ho Chi Minh City Open University accepted students into the fields of Psychology, Korean Language, Law, etc. Candidates can complete the admission procedures online without having to confirm again on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training .
Another university in Ho Chi Minh City that trains in the Pedagogy group also received a list of about 30 candidates in the same situation. However, the school said it still had to consider because accepting all these candidates could exceed the target. Meanwhile, Pedagogy students are exempted from tuition fees and receive a living allowance of 3.6 million VND/month.
The incident once again reminds us of the importance of technical control in university admissions, while helping candidates have their rights protected fairly.
