In Official Letter No. 7222/UBND-NN dated June 19, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, localities, and units based on Resolution No. 16/NQ-HĐND dated June 8, 2026, on the policy of converting forest land use to other purposes to implement 5 projects.

According to Resolution No. 16/NQ-HĐND, the People's Council of Nghe An province decided to approve the policy of converting forest land to other uses for the implementation of projects with a total area of over 20 hectares, including 7.2 hectares of natural production forest, 12.3 hectares of planted production forest, and 0.9 hectares of natural forest belonging to groups outside the three types of forest.
According to the classification, the project for exploiting fill soil in Dong Thanh hamlet, Dong Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town (now Dong Hieu commune) has a total area of forest land converted to other purposes of more than 0.2 hectares, currently classified as production forest.
The project for exploiting limestone for common construction materials in Do hamlet, Tho Hop commune, Quy Hop district (now Quy Hop commune) has a total area of 2.8 hectares, including 2.46 hectares of natural production forest and 0.34 hectares of planted production forest.
The project involves the exploitation and processing of marble quarry in the Keo Hill area, Chau Tien commune, Quy Hop district (now Chau Hong commune), covering an area of 1.87 hectares, currently a natural production forest.
The marble quarrying investment project in Thung Den, Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district (now Muong Ham commune) covers an area of 3.47 hectares, including 2.89 hectares of natural production forest and 0.58 hectares of natural forest outside the three forest categories.
The Quỳnh Lưu 500kV substation and connecting power line project covers a total area of over 12 hectares, all of which is planted production forest.
