On the afternoon of October 5th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, stated that the provincial relief campaign committee has so far allocated 49 billion VND to localities to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Bualoi.
Initially, each commune in the province that suffered heavy damage will receive 2 billion VND in support, while communes with less damage will receive between 500 million VND and 1 billion VND.
"This initial funding is intended to help localities have the resources to handle emergencies and support people in areas severely affected by flooding, landslides, and heavy damage. In addition, essential items such as food and drinking water are also being distributed to affected households," Mr. Hung said.
Regarding the 500 billion VND in government funding to support people in overcoming the damage, Mr. Hung said that the province has requested communes to urgently compile and assess the extent of damage to each household, and then allocate support promptly.
Besides providing material support, the province has mobilized forces to critical areas to help people clear mud, rebuild houses, unclog drainage ditches, and repair roads damaged by landslides.
After Typhoon Bualoi passed through, many areas in Nghe An were flooded and cut off, leaving thousands of people struggling to overcome difficulties.

According to the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, from October 1st to 4th, six communes in the former Anh Son district, including Vinh Tuong, Thanh Binh Tho, Anh Son, Anh Son Dong, Nhan Hoa, and Yen Xuan, received 3,200 boxes of instant noodles, 1,250 boxes of fresh milk, and 520 boxes of bottled water; Tan Ky commune received 1,500 boxes of instant noodles, 540 boxes of fresh milk, and 320 boxes of bottled water.
These are the communes severely flooded due to the remnants of Typhoon Bualoi; the amount of goods supplied is based on local demand reports.
In Ha Tinh province, the Provincial Relief Campaign Committee has also issued a decision allocating 33.25 billion VND to support people in 69 communes and wards to overcome the damage caused by Typhoon Bualoi.
As of October 3rd, dozens of organizations and individuals have donated or pledged their support through the account of the Ha Tinh Provincial Relief Campaign Committee, totaling over 43.2 billion VND.

The leaders of Ha Tinh province have directed relevant departments and localities to mobilize maximum resources to immediately address the consequences of the storm and floods, in accordance with the Prime Minister's directives.
In particular, ensuring housing, restoring essential services such as transportation, electricity, water, telecommunications, healthcare, and education; supporting people in restoring and repairing houses with damaged roofs, and providing temporary housing for households that have lost their homes.
Typhoon Bualoi and the subsequent floods caused the most damage to Ha Tinh province, estimated at around 6,000 billion VND, followed by Nghe An province with over 2,100 billion VND in losses.
Nghe An Power Company has restored electricity to 90% of its customers.
On the afternoon of October 5th, Nghe An Power Company announced that, after six days of intensive work, they have now repaired all 16 substations and 41/41 110kV power lines in the province that were damaged by Typhoon Bualoi.
For the medium-voltage power grid, this unit has also restored 7,291 out of 7,957 substations and 711 out of 712 power lines that experienced problems.
By the morning of October 5th, 982,280 of the company's customers had their electricity restored, reaching approximately 90%.
