Nghe An: Highlights of November 10th

* On the morning of November 10th, during the working session of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly approved the State budget estimate for 2024. After hearing the report explaining, accepting, and revising the draft Resolution on the State budget estimate for 2024 presented by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, Le Quang Manh, the National Assembly proceeded to vote.

The National Assembly has decided that from July 1, 2024, a comprehensive reform of the salary policy will be implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated May 21, 2018, of the Seventh Plenum of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress (the funding for the salary reform will be ensured from the accumulated salary reform funds of the central budget, local budgets, and a portion allocated in the balanced expenditure budget of the State).

The National Assembly also instructed the Government to consider and decide on the allocation of funds from the central budget reserve for 2023 in accordance with the law to continue implementing, completing, and putting into use the Nam Mo River embankment project, the section passing through Block 4 and Block 5, Muong Xen town, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.

* As part of their working visit to the United States, on the morning of November 9th (local time), the Nghe An Provincial Delegation held a meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Nguyen Duc Trung, provided an overview of Nghe An's geographical location, natural conditions, potential strengths in attracting investment, and the province's support policies and needs for attracting investment. Currently, Nghe An province has prepared the most favorable conditions in terms of planning, essential infrastructure, investment land, human resources, and administrative support for investors when they come to explore and invest in Nghe An.

Earlier, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation held a working session with the Semiconductor Industry Association of America (SIA).

* On the afternoon of November 10th, Nghe An Newspaper solemnly organized a seminar to commemorate its 62nd anniversary (November 10th, 1961 - November 10th, 2023). On this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag for outstanding performance in the 2022 emulation movement. The Organizing Committee also presented awards to the authors whose works won prizes in the 12th Nghe An Newspaper Photojournalism Contest "Golden Moments" and Video Clip Contest - 2023.

* On the morning of November 10th, the Organizing Committee of the "Solidarity Day" program in Nghe An province held a ceremony to offer incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the square named after him in Vinh City.

In front of the Monument to President Ho Chi Minh, the Organizing Committee of the "Solidarity Day" Program of Nghe An province respectfully reports to President Ho Chi Minh the activities of the "Solidarity Day" program, which will be organized for the first time by Nghe An province on a provincial scale in Vinh City, from November 10 to 12, 2023.

* As part of the "Unity Day" program, on the morning of November 10th in Vinh City, the Organizing Committee held the opening ceremony for the thematic photo exhibition "93 Years of the Banner of National Unity" and the launch of an exhibition showcasing regional specialties from the province.

* On the afternoon of November 10th, in Vinh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to commend collectives and individuals who won prizes in examinations, competitions, and contests in the field of vocational education. This is a practical activity aimed at celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day.
