Nghe An summarizes activities of Workers' Month 2025

On the morning of June 24, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to review union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

Of the 20 targets assigned by the General Confederation of Labor, after the first 6 months of 2025, Nghe An Trade Union has exceeded 5 targets, completed 100% of 5 targets, nearly achieved 4 targets and 6 targets are still being implemented.

The work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers has achieved many positive results. The Provincial Federation of Labor directly organized 2 large-scale "Tet Sum Vay" programs with widespread influence and many important contents; The grassroots trade union organized more than 20 "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" programs with the participation of 70,000 union members; Nearly 40 billion VND was spent to support more than 40,000 union members, workers and laborers; 95 exemplary workers and laborers who are party members were commended; 265 enterprises organized shift meals for workers; 27 "Union Shelters" were newly built, with a total amount of 1.35 billion VND...

Workers' Month 2025 was launched with the theme "Vietnamese working class: Pioneers entering a new era", focusing on the grassroots, creating a strong spread. As a result, 358 grassroots trade unions organized activities in response, exceeding 145% of the target assigned by the General Confederation of Labor.

Some of the outstanding activities during the Workers' Month were the 2025 Workers' Month Launch Ceremony with an impressive folk dance performance by 1,000 workers; more than 50,000 union members participated in flag-saluting and national anthem singing activities at enterprises; "Workers' Health Festival" provided free health check-ups and medical consultations for more than 400 workers; the "Creative Labor" Forum with the theme "Strong Faith - Building the Future" announced the "Nghe An Workers Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" Award and launched the "Digital Literacy" movement... During the Workers' Month, 8 grassroots unions were newly established, more than 8,350 union members were newly admitted, and more than 800 union members and workers were commended and honored.

In addition to the achieved results, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation also frankly acknowledged some limitations to overcome and planned the key tasks in the last 6 months of the year. Many enthusiastic discussions and opinions were shared at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van De acknowledged the positive results of Nghe An Trade Union at all levels in recent times. At the same time, he requested union officials to continue promoting those good results in the lean revolution, striving for digital transformation in the new era...

In recognition of the efforts of collectives and individuals in the past time, the conference awarded the Emulation Flag of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to the Finance Department, Provincial Labor Federation; awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Labor Federation to 8 collectives; awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 13 individuals with outstanding achievements in Workers' Month 2025.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to end the activities of the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union, the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union, the Education Sector Trade Union, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union of Nghe An Province and the Decision to end the activities of 20 District, City and Town Labor Federations under the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, from July 1, 2025.

Concluding the conference, comrade Kha Van Tam assessed that the first 6 months of the year had many advantages but also many difficulties. However, union officials at all levels continued to maintain their spirit and achieved many commendable results.

The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that, with the spirit of streamlining is elite, the team of union officials in the whole province will continue to promote their roles and functions, affirming the position of the union in the coming time. In the last 6 months of the year, it is necessary to continue to raise awareness and ideology in the streamlining revolution, soon forming the commune and ward level apparatus to operate promptly and effectively. At the same time, continue to build elite, specialized cadres, who are truly cadres of union members and workers; Continue the function of caring for and supporting union members and workers.

In addition, strengthen the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions with the motto that wherever there are enterprises, there are trade unions; Promote propaganda and education, innovate operating methods, in which, proactively coordinate with the government and related departments, branches and sectors and focus on applying digital technology in operations.
