Composer Tô Hiếu, who was close to artist Thương Tín in his final days, said that before his death, the actor went through a period of declining health and spirits, suffering from many illnesses. Last March, artist Thuong Tin moved his belongings from Ho Chi Minh City back to Ninh Thuan (now Khanh Hoa) after a long period without any singing gigs. Afterward, he announced his separation from Kim Chi, his partner who was 32 years younger than him; their daughter now lives with her mother.
