Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Giang oversees localities in the South Central coastal region and the Central Highlands (including Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong). Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra oversees localities in the Northern Midlands and mountainous region (including Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Son La, Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang). The decision states that the Deputy Prime Ministers shall proactively choose appropriate working methods for the localities they are assigned to oversee in order to directly guide the implementation of socio-economic development solutions, focusing on removing obstacles and bottlenecks hindering growth, reforming administrative procedures, and decentralizing power according to their authority and legal regulations, in order to achieve the goal of achieving a national economic growth rate of 10% or more as stipulated in Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW of the Central Committee.
