BHG - At the National Conference on implementing Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of the private economy, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the strategic message: "The private economy is not just a part of the national economy, but needs to become one of the most important driving forces of the national economy."
This message not only affirms the growing role of the private sector but also opens up opportunities for remarkable development in the context of deep integration. This is considered a golden opportunity for the business community nationwide in general, and businesses in the province in particular, to leverage their internal strengths and accelerate innovation towards modernity and sustainability.

Established in 2000 in Xin Man District, Gia Long Corporation is one of the pioneering multi-sector enterprises, operating in agriculture, trade, and tourism. With average annual revenue of approximately 100 billion VND and providing stable employment for over 150 workers, the company has affirmed its important role in local economic development.
Regarding the opportunities presented by Resolution 68, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Dung, General Director of Gia Long Corporation, expressed her expectations: “We are truly looking forward to the specific support policies from Resolution 68, such as tax exemptions and reductions, land support, and the establishment of a science and technology development and innovation fund. These are necessary impetus for businesses to dare to think, dare to act, invest in areas with higher added value, and at the same time improve product quality.”
Ms. Dung also frankly shared the obstacles that businesses have faced: “In the past, our company, like many other businesses in the province, has encountered many difficulties regarding administrative procedures, operating costs, and legal barriers. If the authorities at all levels are decisive in implementing the goal of reducing processing time, costs, and business conditions as set out for 2025, it will be a real boost for the business community.”
Sharing the same expectation, Mr. Truong Viet Anh, Director of Duc Minh Joint Stock Company – the unit managing Duc Minh General Hospital – highly appreciated the positive impact of Resolution 68 on the private enterprise system, especially in the healthcare sector which urgently needs to be socialized: “Ha Giang currently has nearly 4,400 enterprises with a total registered capital of over 38,000 billion VND. With the systematic and decisive implementation of Resolution 68, we believe that this will be a new breath of life, promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity. Practical policies will help businesses like ours have more conditions to expand scale, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services, and meet the increasingly high healthcare needs of the people.”
Mr. Viet Anh also mentioned the unique characteristics of healthcare businesses: "We very much hope that support policies and mechanisms will be quickly concretized, especially in accessing preferential capital, reforming investment procedures for medical equipment and infrastructure development, so that the private healthcare sector can truly become an extension of the public healthcare system."
Acting as a "bridge" between businesses and the government, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial Business Association, highly appreciated the direction of private economic development clearly expressed in Resolution 68: "The breakthrough journey of Ha Giang businesses has officially begun. Specific and practical support policies will be an important catalyst, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises and individual business households – which currently account for a large proportion of the province." Mr. Thang also emphasized the role of local authorities in realizing these policies: "We propose that local authorities at all levels need to work more closely with businesses. Establishing a one-stop mechanism, promoting digital transformation in handling administrative procedures, and supporting businesses in accessing capital and new technologies… will be prerequisites for sustainable business development."
Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW is not only a guiding principle for the development of the private economy but also a call to action for the entire political system, the business community, and local governments at all levels. If implemented effectively and synchronously, this will be a major turning point for Vietnamese businesses in general and those in Ha Giang in particular to thrive in the new era of development.
