Ngoc Linh commune is one of the most disadvantaged areas in Quang Ngai province. Its mountainous terrain makes development already difficult, and it has become even more challenging after typhoons No. 12 and 13 in 2025. Many roads have been damaged by landslides. Irrigation works have been destroyed. Transportation, trade, and children's education have been severely affected. Immediately after the typhoons, the Party committee and authorities at all levels promptly intervened, focusing on repairing infrastructure. In particular, they mobilized resources to build a temporary bridge connecting five isolated northern villages with the commune center. This ensured essential needs were met, helping people stabilize their lives before the Lunar New Year.

In addition to addressing the consequences of natural disasters, social welfare work and caring for the lives of people in Ngoc Linh continue to be implemented comprehensively by all levels of government. This Tet holiday, Ngoc Linh is warmer thanks to the heartfelt gifts from the Party and the State delivered directly to the people. These are not only material support but also timely encouragement, instilling confidence in the people to overcome difficulties and strive for a better future.

Ngoc Linh commune aims for sustainable poverty reduction.

Ngoc Linh commune has 22 hamlets and villages, with nearly 30% of households living in poverty, and ethnic minorities accounting for approximately 97%. The locality aims to reduce poverty by an average of 5-6% annually by 2030, and increase per capita income from 30 million VND to 50 million VND. The commune's Party committee and government have identified the need to focus on effectively mobilizing and integrating resources to develop livelihoods and prioritize addressing and investing in essential infrastructure. This will create a new momentum and renewed determination from the beginning of the term, aiming for sustainable poverty reduction.
