The village is shaded by green bamboo.

Sấu Village is located in Liên Chung commune, Tân Yên district, Bắc Giang province. It is called Sấu because, according to legend, behind the village there was once a hill shaped like a crocodile – a sacred animal often worshipped in ancient temples and shrines.

With over 200 houses, Sấu Village is an ancient village situated on the picturesque banks of the Thương River, about a kilometer from the foot of Dành Mountain. Life here flows at a slow pace in the midland region. The villagers have traditionally cultivated onions and garlic. They grow rice and various vegetables year-round in the fields nestled among the hills. Cattle and buffaloes graze freely in the open fields. Straw is dried on the village roads and carried home to be stored as feed for livestock during the cold season. The peaceful roads around the village are shaded by bamboo trees all year round. Children often go to school and play along this cool, green path. The bamboo bridges still stand, spanning the small stream that served as a passage for villagers between the two hills in the village. Generations of villagers have grown up living simple lives under the shade of these bamboo trees.

The elderly in the village still dress and live as they did a hundred years ago. They live in old houses with wooden gates and do light chores such as sweeping the yards and looking after the house for their children and grandchildren. The elderly women in the village still have the habit of chewing betel nut and have teeth that are "black but still aching like betel nuts," always smiling brightly whenever visitors come.

Sấu Village is a place with beautiful scenery and a peaceful pace of life. It's home to friendly, down-to-earth people.
