New recruits participate in the "three explosions" test in 2024.

Effective movements

The Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command is one of the exemplary units implementing Conclusion 01 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive 05 "On promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style" and Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," resolutely combating individualism in the new situation.

According to Senior Lieutenant Tran Duong Vinh, Assistant for Mass Mobilization Affairs of the Provincial Military Command, the Youth Union focuses on raising awareness and building a sense of self-discipline in complying with State laws and military discipline among its officers and members. At the same time, it promotes the role of young people in the Provincial Military Command in participating in the dissemination and education of laws and mobilizing the people to comply with the law at the grassroots level, contributing to building the army and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

The Youth Union of the Provincial Military Command also organized a competition to learn about the traditions of "80 years since the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and 35 years since the National Defense Day" to widely disseminate among officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces the position, role, functions, tasks, history, and glorious traditions of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. Through this, it contributes to raising awareness, strengthening faith, and promoting the responsibility of young people towards the task of building the armed forces of the Military Region, building the army, consolidating national defense, and building and firmly protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

Besides the Youth Union, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the head of the Provincial Military Command regularly lead other mass organizations such as the Women's Union and the Trade Union to effectively promote their pioneering role in building action programs to implement Conclusion 01 and Resolution 847 throughout the provincial armed forces with many flexible and effective forms and methods, closely targeting specific groups. Based on this, they cultivate the qualities of revolutionary soldiers among union and association members, helping them avoid individualism as well as social ills and vices.

First Lieutenant Lai Le Vinh Hieu, Political Assistant of Regiment 6, shared: “As a young officer, Party member, and soldier, I am aware that I must always strive, study, train, develop my youthful energy, and cultivate revolutionary moral qualities; always be ready to accept and excellently complete all assigned tasks. At the same time, I uphold the spirit of self-criticism and criticism; resolutely eliminate selfish manifestations and officers who only care about personal gain; and fight to push back negative manifestations and ideologies to build a united and cohesive collective.”

Scale up

According to the leaders of the Provincial Military Command, the implementation process has effectively promoted the spirit and responsibility of Party committees, political commissars, commanders, and political agencies at all levels. At the same time, it has fostered the role of mass organizations with many innovative and effective approaches, closely adhering to political tasks and specific target groups.

The units have linked the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings with the implementation of the "Determined to Win" emulation movement, other emulation movements, and campaigns; building advanced models and exemplary examples of collectives and individuals that are closely aligned with the characteristics and requirements of the agency and unit. Through this, a transformation has been created in the awareness of self-cultivation and training to improve revolutionary moral qualities, combat individualism, and prevent the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, as well as "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" among cadres, Party members, and the masses in the provincial armed forces; contributing to building Party organizations that excellently fulfill their tasks, and units that are comprehensively strong and "exemplary."

Lieutenant Pham Thien Ha, a professional soldier from the Propaganda Department, Political Division, Provincial Military Command, stated: "I have always been aware that a soldier must constantly cultivate moral qualities to become an exemplary officer; at the same time, I am conscious of building unity within the unit, thereby contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit that is 'exemplary and outstanding'."

Thanks to synchronized and consistent leadership and guidance, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style within the provincial armed forces have yielded many positive results. Annually, 100% of agencies and units successfully complete the training and political education programs; there are no serious disciplinary violations by officers or soldiers; the quality of Party activities at all levels has improved; and the understanding of the Party among officers, Party members, and soldiers is increasingly comprehensive and clear…

To effectively implement Conclusion 01 and Resolution 847 throughout the provincial armed forces, in the coming period, the Provincial Military Party Committee has identified the need to effectively promote the leadership and guidance role of Party committees and organizations, the operational and managerial role of commanders, political commissars, and political officers; the role of mass organizations and military councils; and to focus on building and replicating advanced models and exemplary practices. At the same time, it will concentrate on resolving existing shortcomings and limitations; resolutely fight against and repel manifestations of individualism, negativity, and wrongdoing, and put an end to disciplinary violations among cadres and Party members.
