West Ham continued their poor run of form with a 2-3 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in the Carabao Cup on the morning of August 27th.
Notably, West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen lost his temper and stormed into the stands to argue with West Ham fans.
The incident quickly exploded on social media. A West Ham fan wrote on X: "Bowen is now arguing with fans too. This club is truly beyond saving."
Another person commented: "It's sad to see Bowen act like that towards his own fans."

Alongside the criticism, many fans sided with Bowen. "It wouldn't be surprising if he decided to leave!" one commenter wrote.
Another opinion spoke up in defense: "Attacking one of the team's best and most loyal players like Jarrod Bowen personally is not the right thing to do, West Ham fans."
Just minutes after the incident, the West Ham captain posted a heartfelt apology on Instagram. "Sorry to the fans for my reaction tonight," he wrote.
"I am a passionate person and I always fight my hardest on the pitch. But I know I need to set a better example, and you know how much I love you and this club. We will get through this difficult period together. See you on Sunday," Jarrod Bowen wrote.

The incident immediately prompted West Ham manager Graham Potter to speak out to calm the situation: "I don't know exactly what happened. But the supporters have always been fantastic. Of course they're disappointed with the result and Jarrod Bowen is also a very caring person towards the team."
He asserted, "This is simply an exchange of views between people who genuinely care." When asked if this was an isolated incident, Potter replied, "I believe so. We haven't achieved the results we wanted, and that causes normal reactions. Jarrod has always been a great leader for the club."
The West Ham manager emphasized the importance of unity: "The most important relationship in a club is between the fans and the team."
You are the most important people. We need everyone to be united. That's one of the great things about West Ham, it always feels like a family, and we need everyone.
The team is in trouble. I can assure you that nobody is happy with what we're doing. We're all very upset. So we need everyone's help and support."
The defeat against Wolves was West Ham's third loss of the new season, following defeats of 0-3 against Sunderland and 1-5 against Chelsea.
