It's ironic...

- Seeing the news about those "thieves" sneaking into temples to steal turtles right before Tet (Lunar New Year) made me both angry and amused.

People go to temples to accumulate merit and pray for peace, while thieves break into temples to steal turtles and sell them for money to spend.

- As Tet approaches, people are busy with rituals and prayers, sometimes letting their guard down. Thieves take advantage of this, seizing any opportunity to strike, regardless of whether it's a sacred place or a private location.

- Sincerity is important, but caution shouldn't be lacking either. Cameras or alarm systems are now ways to protect against... impure minds.

- It seems those thieves who stole the turtles from the temple this Tet holiday haven't found any peace or comfort yet, but they've already incurred heavier karma than even those turtle shells!
