Local households involved in tourism in Thach Quang are preparing to serve tourists during the holiday period (April 30th - May 1st).

Over the past period, thanks to the close attention of Thach Quang commune and the proactive spirit and efforts of the people, the local potential and advantages have been effectively exploited. As a result, tourism activities in the commune have achieved positive results. Currently, the commune has about 40 accommodation establishments and homestays, meeting the increasingly high demands of tourists. In the first three months of 2026, Thach Quang commune welcomed about 6,000 visitors, including international tourists. According to the commune's forecast, the number of tourists visiting during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays this year will increase compared to normal days. To prepare well to serve the needs of tourists, Thach Quang commune has directed villages with tourist spots, areas, and tourism service businesses to strengthen propaganda work to raise awareness among households in complying with regulations on food safety and hygiene; fire prevention and control; Create a green and clean environment to attract tourists. Simultaneously, encourage the village to organize experiential activities, cultural exchanges, and artistic performances to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people and visitors. Install additional regulations, directional signs, and danger warnings in necessary areas to ensure the safety of tourists.

Mr. Le Huy Duong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Quang commune, said: The development of community tourism has created jobs for many workers, making an important contribution to poverty reduction in the locality. To ensure the conditions for welcoming tourists during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays, Thach Quang commune is strengthening its guidance to tourism service businesses to improve the quality of service for tourists; preventing the sale and use of substandard food; and arranging for waste collection and treatment according to regulations. In the coming time, Thach Quang commune will mobilize all resources and encourage people to donate land to expand the Ho Chi Minh Highway to May Waterfall; renovate the grounds of the cultural house and the stadium in Dang Thuong village. It will also coordinate with relevant units to organize training courses for local people on communication skills, serving tourists, and preparing local specialties. Encourage households involved in tourism in the area to renovate and upgrade their homestay systems, focusing on environmental friendliness, meeting hygiene and convenience standards while still preserving traditional features.

Mr. Le Van Chien, a resident involved in community tourism in Dang Thuong village, said: "It is predicted that the number of visitors to Dang Thuong village will increase during the upcoming Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and April 30th - May 1st holidays. To better serve the needs of tourists, my family focuses on creating a green and clean environment and preparing high-quality food. In particular, to impress visitors, my family pays special attention to preparing traditional Muong dishes. This is the unique cultural feature we use to 'attract' tourists every time they visit."

In Yen Thang commune, to ensure safe tourism activities and bring joy to visitors during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays, the commune has directed tourism establishments and homestays to strengthen fire prevention and control measures, organize cultural and artistic activities that reflect the national identity and create a positive impression on tourists. At the same time, they are stepping up promotional activities on mass media channels to attract tourists to visit and experience the area.

Mr. Vu The Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Thang commune, said: Visiting Yen Thang, tourists not only enjoy the fresh air and admire the majestic and poetic natural landscapes of Peo and Ngam Poc villages, but also immerse themselves in the unique culture and cuisine of the local ethnic minorities. A highlight, especially, is the border market – a trading hub between the local people and the Phon Xay cluster of villages (Lao People's Democratic Republic). In recent times, tourism development has created jobs for many workers with stable incomes of 4-5 million VND/month. To increase the number of tourists, their length of stay, and their spending during holidays, Yen Thang commune has encouraged and promoted accommodation establishments and restaurants to maximize their human resources and facilities, and improve the quality of tourism services. They have also organized the Ngam Poc night market. "The Muong Deng Run to Touch the Rice Harvest Season 2026" and cultural and artistic activities reflecting the unique cultural identity of the Thai ethnic minority.

Along with Thach Quang and Yen Thang, other communes with tourist attractions and homestays in the area have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to maintain security and order and ensure the safety of tourists.
