Pham Van Du, Party Secretary of Nuoc Giap village, shared that the villagers were very happy to receive cement from the government for road construction and readily participated. With the villagers' unanimous support, a 200-meter-long, 3-meter-wide section of road has been paved.

"Previously, getting from the commune center to here was difficult because the branch roads were not yet paved. On rainy days, the roads were muddy and slippery, making travel even more difficult for the people and hindering their lives," Mr. Du said.

The completed 200-meter road facilitates convenient travel for residents and promotes socio -economic development.

According to Nguyen Thi Van, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Dang Thuy Tram commune, the locality is mainly inhabited by ethnic minorities, and people's lives are still facing many difficulties. Therefore, the local government has encouraged people to take advantage of the State's cement support policy to reinforce rural roads, and this has been enthusiastically supported by the people.

"The people are very happy to have concrete roads for convenient travel, and they have changed their mindset about doing business and developing the economy. The locality is also stepping up propaganda, coordinating the implementation and maintaining many activities to protect the environment and build a green, clean, and beautiful rural environment," Ms. Van said.

The concreting of rural roads and the acceleration of the construction and completion of transportation infrastructure will create leverage for the socio-economic development of Dang Thuy Tram commune after the administrative unit merger.
