As a respected figure among ethnic minority communities, Mr. Ha Tran Que, residing in Vuong area, Xuan Dai commune, Tan Son district, has consistently set a good example over the years. He has not only been a companion to his fellow villagers in overcoming difficulties but also a strong "bridge" between the Party, the government, and the people, contributing to strengthening solidarity within the community.
The respected figure Ha Tran Que (first on the left) regularly understands the thoughts and aspirations of the people in the Vuong area to coordinate with the local Party committee and government to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles, contributing to building a strong unity within the community.
Mr. Ha Tran Que, born in 1966, received his military training. In 1988, he was discharged and returned to his hometown, actively engaging in labor and production to develop his family's economy . He became a well-off household in the area, earning the respect and affection of the local community. In 2013, Mr. Que was elected as the Head of the Vuong neighborhood by the local residents. Following the motto "listen to the people, explain things so the people understand, and act in a way that earns the people's trust," he actively promoted and encouraged the people to comply with the Party's policies, the State's laws, and local regulations, while also listening to the concerns and aspirations of the residents.
In 2016, Mr. Ha Tran Que was trusted and respected by the people in the area, becoming a "respected figure" in the Muong community in Vuong area. Deserving of the people's affection and trust, Mr. Que always stayed close to the community, understanding their thoughts and aspirations, coordinating with the local Party committee and government to resolve difficulties and problems in the residential area, actively promoting unity among the people, effectively implementing economic development movements, contributing to the construction of new rural areas, and promoting a cultured lifestyle in the residential area.
Thanks to his reputation and experience, Mr. Que actively worked with the Front Committee of the residential area to mobilize people to contribute money and labor to pave more than 1km of inter-neighborhood road connecting the Vuong area to the Moi hamlet in the Dong Tao area, with a contribution of 500,000 VND per household. He set a good example by demolishing his fence and donating more than 20m² of garden land to expand the rural road. Following his example, many households in the area voluntarily donated land for the road construction. As a result, the land was cleared and the inter-neighborhood road was completed, bringing a new look to the Vuong area, not only contributing to improving living conditions but also opening up opportunities for trade and economic development for the people.
Mr. Ha Tran Que shared: "The Vuong area is about 2km from the commune center, with 125 households and a total of 585 inhabitants, of which over 80% are Muong ethnic people. The economy is mainly based on agriculture and forestry. In previous years, the lives of the people were very difficult due to outdated production practices, and the poverty rate was high. As a respected figure, I felt responsible for leading the way and gaining the trust of the people. I had to be a pioneer, doing things first. When people saw the results, they would learn and follow. I shared what I knew, and analyzed and offered constructive criticism based on my experience and knowledge, so that everyone could work together to do something beneficial and build up the village."
The inter-district road through the Vuong area to the Dong Tao area (Xuan Dai commune, Tan Son district) was paved according to the principle of "the State and the people working together," with the active contribution of the respected figure Ha Tran Que.
Dedicated and enthusiastic about community work, Mr. Que also joined the local residents in repairing and upgrading the community cultural center, creating a spacious, clean, and beautiful common area. He also actively propagated and encouraged the people to work hard in production, improve their economic lives, and proactively coordinated with local authorities and political and social organizations to mobilize the people to actively participate in the "All People Protect National Security" and "Maintaining Security and Order in Residential Areas" movements.
Comrade Ha Xuan Dien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Dai commune, said: “Mr. Ha Tran Que is a typical example of a respected person in the commune, a key figure in maintaining unity in the residential area. With his enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, Mr. Ha Tran Que has made many important contributions to consolidating national unity, developing socio-economic conditions, and maintaining political security and social order in the area. Respected person Ha Tran Que is truly a reliable source of moral support and a shining example for the people to learn from and emulate.”
