Accessing heritage through AI.

A highlight of the "Imperial Artifacts" project is the application of AI technology to create storytelling videos about the imperial artifacts of the Nguyen Dynasty. Through technology, the artifacts are not only presented in the form of historical information but also recreated within their cultural context and the stories behind each artifact.

For example, in the introduction to the Nhật Bình dress, the AI video described the details of the dress, the reason why it's called the Nhật Bình dress, and the stories surrounding it in a youthful, fresh, and engaging language. Similarly, the video about "Cards and Gold Badges" was presented with vivid images and sounds, conveying historical stories effectively.

Thanks to this innovative approach, artifacts that were previously only found in museums or research documents have been "retold" in a more visual, vivid, and accessible way for young people.

How can we use AI without becoming dependent on it?
How can we use AI without becoming dependent on it?"What should I eat for lunch today without gaining weight?", "How to send a great birthday message?", "Should I change jobs?"… These are questions young people frequently ask artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini… Is it really something to worry about when every problem in life is "delegated" to AI like this?

To ensure the accuracy of historical content and the application of technology in the implementation process, the group of young people sought professional advice from the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum. Based on the completed products, Mr. Truong Quy Man, Deputy Director of the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, highly praised these videos, considering them a modern approach to help young people better understand the values of the Nguyen Dynasty's royal court.

A journey connecting young people.

The project team consists of four students, none of whom are from Hue. They share a common love for Hue and its heritage. The idea for the project also originated from their visits to Hue and their fascination with the artifacts on display. "We hope that through short, visually engaging, and lively videos that appeal to young audiences, we can attract those who love heritage," shared Dang Thi Dieu, a member of the project team.

Le Thi Thu Thanh, the project team leader, said that when they started the project, they encountered quite a few difficulties, especially in ensuring the accuracy of information while applying technology in a new way. However, during the project, the students had the opportunity to learn more about royal artifacts and work with researchers knowledgeable about culture. This made the students feel that this project was not just a communication activity, but also a way to utilize technology to connect young people with heritage. "Through the combination of creative communication, cultural experiences, and AI technology, the 'Royal Artifacts' project hopes to contribute to spreading the values of the Nguyen Dynasty's royal heritage to the community, especially the younger generation," Thu Thanh added.

The "Imperial Artifacts" project has been running for nearly three months and has initially created a positive impact on social media. Many young people have left enthusiastic comments and expressed their desire for more videos to watch and learn from. With young people who are not from Hue telling stories of Hue with all their creativity and passion, the project shows that heritage will not be forgotten if it is "retold" in the language of the times, contributing to a renewed way of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.
