Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong, residing on Tran Cung Street, Hanoi , has just "finalized" a reservation for a room in the Truc Bach Lake area, a few hundred meters from Thanh Nien Street, on the night of August 29.
Although their house is more than 5km from Ba Dinh Square - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the couple still decided to rent a room to conveniently watch the parade rehearsal on the morning of August 30.
This rehearsal is on a scale equivalent to the official ceremony, and is the last and most important practice before the Grand Ceremony.
"My family has a young son, only 5 years old. My husband and I cannot 'camp' with him on the street, waiting to watch the parade. Therefore, we rented a hotel so that we don't have to walk far and don't have to stay up late, wake up too early.
From the hotel, my family only needs to walk a few minutes to see planes and military vehicles, and join in the bustling atmosphere with the capital's residents and tourists. We want our children to feel the spirit of patriotism and national pride," said Ms. Duong.
The family is expected to arrive in Truc Bach area from 2:00 p.m. on August 29.
"This area has many delicious restaurants, very convenient. I found a room on the night of August 29, there were still many vacancies, the price was stable, but on the night of September 1, the rooms were all sold out. Therefore, on September 2, the whole family will watch the event on TV," said Ms. Duong.

To Minh Thuy and her husband (in Ha Dong, Hanoi) also rented 2 rooms near Nguyen Truong To Street on the night of August 29 to watch the parade rehearsal. The family consists of 8 people, including 4 adults and 4 children aged 12-15.
"My house is about 10km from Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. On August 21 and 23, my wife and I went to watch the training sessions.
With the desire to bring our children and grandchildren closer to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, to witness with their own eyes the heroic spirit of the nation, national pride and love for the country, my wife and I calculated and decided to rent a room near the rehearsal venue.
On September 2, we will stay home to watch the entire parade on television. So we can both enjoy the live atmosphere of the August 30 rehearsal and watch all the parades on television," Ms. Thuy shared.

Ms. Thuy said that on August 25, in the Nguyen Truong To area, there were still many hotels and motels with vacant rooms for the night of August 29. Room rates increased a bit compared to normal days but were still within an acceptable level.
"On August 28, my family will go out to enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the city. My husband and I plan to move out at 3am to find a good location and then call the kids out at 5am to make it less tiring," Ms. Thuy shared her plan.
According to Ms. Thuy, this is an event that only happens once every 40 years, so the whole family is very excited and looking forward to it. She and her husband have prepared folding chairs, fans, red flag shirts with yellow stars and the national flag to join in the festival atmosphere.
People and tourists from all over come to Hanoi to watch the parade.
A representative of the Grand Mercure Hanoi Hotel (near the Temple of Literature) said that on the night of August 29, the hotel was 76% full (181 rooms in total). Many Hanoians rented rooms to experience the atmosphere of September 2 and conveniently watch the parade rehearsal.
Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake Hotel also welcomed many Hanoi guests on the nights of August 29 and September 1. "Guests see this as a tour right in the city, experiencing a new feeling," said a hotel representative.
These hotels are all conveniently located, just a short walk to parade routes.
