Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee directly directs the work of ensuring security and order for the preliminary rehearsal of the parade.

On the evening of August 27, at the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired and directed the work of ensuring security and order, traffic flow and protecting key areas to serve the preliminary rehearsal of the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (task A80).

In a quick report to the Chairman of the City People's Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of the Hanoi City Police, said that to serve the A80 events, the parade, the City Police mobilized more than 10,000 officers and soldiers to perform duties at key security routes and posts; more than 5,000 comrades participated in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; along with thousands of officers and soldiers from functional departments synchronously deployed professional measures at nearly 450 security posts, ensuring a closed area.

Traffic police, public order police, mobile police, security forces and police of wards and communes have closely coordinated, organized traffic flow, regulated traffic, led convoys, maintained order and safety on mobile routes; ensuring closed areas.

The city police also deployed many important professional measures: Closely monitoring key targets, managing subjects, controlling unmanned aerial vehicles; coordinating with military units, ensuring safety in assembly areas, grandstand areas, and military bases. Propaganda and mobilization work was regularly deployed, thereby creating consensus and support from the masses.

At the City Police Command Information Center, the Standing Office of the City Police's professional units, through a system of thousands of cameras, monitored and supervised the streets and key areas; and suspicious behaviors to promptly notify the handling forces at the scene.

Directly directing the work of ensuring security and order, traffic flow and protecting key areas, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh acknowledged the drastic, scientific and methodical participation of the City Police; commended the tireless efforts of the Capital Police force.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee noted that the City Police need to continue to perfect plans to protect security and order on each street and each point of reception for people in the spirit of ensuring absolute safety, while creating maximum conditions to serve people attending the rehearsal and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
