Restaurant blocking the sea in Nha Trang has had its land lease extended.

On April 11th, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, had signed a decision allowing Nha Trang Sailing Club Joint Venture Company Limited to extend the land use rights at Sailing Club restaurant, Loc Tho Ward, Nha Trang City, from April 1st to December 31st, 2024.

The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province requires Nha Trang Swimming Club Joint Venture Company Limited to be responsible for using the land for its intended purpose, fulfilling its financial obligations to the state, using the land in its current state, complying with relocation and handing over the land when notified of land reclamation (even during the period of land use under lease), and not requesting compensation.

The Sailing Club restaurant, situated right on the beachfront and spanning 2,369 ^m² , boasts a prime location in Nha Trang City. The land was leased by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to Nha Trang Sailing Club Joint Venture Company Limited for the purpose of operating a bar and restaurant. The lease term is 20 years, from September 30, 2003 to September 30, 2023.

After the lease expired, the company sent a letter requesting the Khánh Hòa Provincial People's Committee to allow a short-term annual extension of the land lease to continue its business until the zoning plan for the area east of Trần Phú - Phạm Văn Đồng road is approved.

In October 2023, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a document agreeing to extend the land lease for the company for another two months (from November 1st to December 31st, 2023).

Previously, after 20 years of operation, the Ana Mandara resort, covering more than 26,000 square meters ^and stretching nearly 400 meters along the Nha Trang coastline, was also dismantled, relocated, and the land returned to the community.

The area along the eastern side of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong road (Nha Trang City), with a total length of approximately 15 km and an area of about 240 hectares, possesses unique landscape characteristics and plays an important role in the overall tourism development, serving as a public coastal park strip for Nha Trang City. To effectively manage land, space, and landscape architecture in this area according to the aforementioned purpose, the Provincial People's Committee has undertaken the development of an urban design project for the area east of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong road, aiming to create a green park strip combined with public services.
