This is considered a strategic step, paving the way for profound reforms in the organizational structure.
At the commune level, the proposed administrative unit reorganization plans also received high levels of support. Specifically, 99% of voters agreed to establish Da Bac commune by merging Da Bac town and the communes of Tu Ly, Toan Son, and Hien Luong. The new Cao Son commune (merging Cao Son and Tan Minh communes) received the support of 99.9% of voters participating in the consultation. New communes such as Duc Nhan, Quy Duc, Tan Pheo, and Tien Phong also received high approval rates, ranging from 97.5% to almost absolute majority.
In Toan Son commune, the process of gathering public opinion was democratic, open, and transparent. Mr. Hoang Minh Tham, from Truc Son hamlet, Toan Son commune, agreed with the major policy and considered it a revolution aimed at a new stage of national development. Mr. Tham shared: "With the abolition of the district level, the functions and tasks of the district are transferred to the commune. This will bring us closer to the people. Previously, people had to go through many levels for administrative procedures, wasting a lot of time. Transferring them to the commune will save time. I hope that all levels and sectors will continue to apply science and technology to resolve administrative procedures for people more quickly and efficiently."
For those long involved in community tourism like Mr. Dinh Van Sanh (Ke hamlet, Hien Luong commune), the reorganization of administrative units also opens up great expectations regarding infrastructure and regional connectivity. Mr. Sanh expressed: "The road from Hien Luong to Vay Nua and Tien Phong is being invested in, connecting with Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province, which is expected to create a strong boost for tourism. We hope the government will continue to invest in synchronized infrastructure, linking economic development with the preservation of ethnic cultural identity."
Residents of Doan Ket sub-district, Da Bac town (Da Bac district) are studying a map showing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.
In the mountainous commune of Doan Ket, the people also approve of the plans and projects for rearranging administrative units at the provincial and commune levels. Besides the expectation of breakthroughs in the nation's new era, many people hope that policies supporting the poor and areas with special difficulties will continue to be implemented effectively. Mr. Lo Xuan On, from Cang hamlet, said: "Through monitoring the media and explanations from officials, we strongly support the policy of rearranging administrative units. This will streamline the apparatus and serve the people better. We hope that after the merger into the new province, difficult areas like Da Bac will continue to receive attention and investment in convenient transportation infrastructure and guidance and support for people to develop their economy appropriately."
Over the past period, the people of the ethnic groups in the mountainous district of Da Bac have been closely following and placing high hopes on a major transformation. This transformation is not only about administrative boundaries, but also about the organization, operation, and development of their homeland and country in a more sustainable and comprehensive direction.
