Human dignity and peace

This is an art photography contest to celebrate the United Nations Vesak Day 2025, held at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (Ho Chi Minh City) from May 6-8, 2025. The contest is open to professional and amateur photographers from Vietnam and around the world .

The artwork "The Bell of Peace" won first prize in the Buddhism and Peace competition.

The themes for the Buddhist Wisdom: Dignity and Peace photo contest include: Human values ​​in Buddhism; Peace and harmony; Buddhist cultural heritage; The influence of Buddhism on life; Celebrating Vesak; Nature and the environment.

Each author may submit a maximum of 10 photos, in color or monochrome. The organizers accept photo editing but the photos must not be digitally manipulated or digitally reproduced as JPEG files, with a resolution of 300 dpi and a file size of 5MB or less. The deadline for submissions is from the launch of the competition until March 31, 2025. Judging will take place from April 2-9, and the results will be announced on April 12, 2025. The awards ceremony and exhibition opening will be before the United Nations Vesak Day 2025 (tentatively May 4, 2025).

The artwork "Peaceful Steps" won second prize in the Buddhism and Peace competition.

The prizes include: 1 first prize worth 20 million VND, 2 second prizes worth 10 million VND each, 3 third prizes worth 5 million VND each, and 5 consolation prizes worth 2 million VND each.

The artwork "Beside the Bodhisattva Statue" won second prize in the Buddhism and Peace competition.

In 2023, the Buddhist art photography contest on peace , organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Institute of Buddhist Studies, attracted 1,200 entries.
