Located on the left bank of the Lam River, bordering Con Cuong district, Tam Son commune in Anh Son district is a remote and disadvantaged area with difficult socio -economic conditions. However, the commune has preserved beautiful scenery and cultural identity, especially the stunning kapok tree-lined roads. These ancient kapok trees, in bloom in March, are a highlight and a crucial element for tourism development.

To contribute to the preservation and promotion of the value of the kapok tree and historical relics in the area, Tam Son commune has developed a plan to organize the first Kapok Flower Festival in 2024 with many rich and attractive cultural, artistic, and sports activities...

The festival will be held over four days, from March 12th to 15th, 2024, with many cultural, artistic, and sporting activities such as: a traditional boat race; a community folk song and dance performance in the peony garden with the participation of female officials and members; a public art program on the opening night of the festival; men's and women's volleyball tournaments; and the art program "Tam Son - Colorful Invitation to Visit," featuring the Nghe An Provincial Song and Dance Troupe, singer Ha Quynh Nhu, and others.

Through this festival, we aim to promote the image of the land, people, cultural beauty, and tourism potential of Tam Son commune, Anh Son district, to the people and tourists inside and outside the province. This will help exploit the tourism potential in the area, continue to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, and boost socio-economic development.
