VHO - On June 18, the Party Congress of Danang University of Physical Education and Sports for the 2025-2030 term was held, thereby affirming the achievements the school has achieved, and at the same time setting out directions to strive for and development focuses in the next term.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thanh Hai - Party Secretary, Principal of Danang University of Sports said: “After 48 years of construction and development, Danang University of Sports has achieved many important achievements. This Congress has the task of summarizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress, deciding on the direction, goals and tasks for the school's development in the period 2025 - 2030.

In the past 5 years, the school has had 4 party members who were awarded 5 years of excellent performance and were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the District Party Committee. The school's Party Committee has had 2 years of excellent performance in 2021 and 2024. In 2024, the Da Nang City Party Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit for successfully completing the work of developing party members.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, many Party policies and State laws on higher education and sports have been put into practice, always receiving high consensus from society and among the school's cadres, party members, employees, students and pupils.

In all fields, the school always strives to achieve the best results. The annual regular university admission work is flexibly and creatively innovated in the direction of increasing the application of information technology in communication and consulting work. The regular university admission results are higher year after year, especially in 2023 and 2024, completing and exceeding the set targets.

Admission to graduate and undergraduate programs Basically, good results were achieved, approaching the set target (achieving 85% or more), the school's training scale gradually increased over the years, in the 2024-2025 school year it reached 1,650 students (an increase of over 150%) compared to the first years of the term.

Regarding training, Danang University of Physical Education and Sports has innovated training forms and methods in the direction of approaching learners' capacity to meet output standards according to the national qualification framework. Strengthening the application of information technology in teaching and training management, combining direct teaching and online teaching, promoting positivity, proactiveness, creativity, and improving students' self-study capacity.

Training results for the period 2019 - 2024 have 739 regular university students graduating, accounting for 88.61%, 744 non-regular university students graduating, accounting for 100%, and 208 postgraduate students graduating, accounting for 99.52%.

Other activities include training and fostering cooperation, quality assurance, scientific research and technology transfer, and student research activities (nearly 230 students participated in scientific research with 80 accepted scientific topics. During the term, 1 student topic won first prize, 2 second prizes, and 5 consolation prizes in the National Student Scientific Research Competitions in the field of Sports and Physical Education).

In 2023 and 2024, the regular university admission results of Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports exceeded the set target.

International cooperation, student management, digital transformation achieved many remarkable results. In particular, the digital transformation work has built and deployed the digital transformation project, promoted digital transformation work and the internet network equipment information system to ensure stable and safe operation.

Gradually improve the electronic document management system and online teaching system. Increase the use of electronic documents, books, digital textbooks and documents to share teaching and learning resources, effectively apply information technology to enrollment, teaching and scientific research.

Focusing on shaping the personality and capacity of the school's students, the University of Physical Education and Sports of Da Nang has directed and guided the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to effectively carry out the campaign "Vietnamese youth study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", thereby organizing many traditional education programs, raising awareness, understanding, and creating life skills for students.

Meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of war invalids and martyrs, granting scholarships to poor but studious students, donating blood voluntarily, organizing training courses on drowning prevention, free swimming lessons, community football, sports dancing, self-defense skills, etc. are maintained by the school.

Especially during the flood in 2024 due to the impact of storm No. 3, the school's Union called on the school's staff and students to support and donated more than 130,000,000 VND and sent it to the Thanh Khe District Fatherland Front Committee to help people in the northern provinces.

The school's Trade Union continuously achieved the title of Outstanding Strong Grassroots Trade Union and was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Da Nang City Labor Federation and the Da Nang City People's Committee.

In the period of 2025-2030, the Party Committee of Danang University of Sports and Physical Education continues to implement Conclusion No. 70-KL/TW dated January 31, 2024 of the Politburo on Sports and Physical Education Development in the new period, implementing the Sports and Physical Education Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045;

Conclusion No. 91/KL-TW dated August 12, 2024 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution 29/NQ-TW "on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy"... with many specific targets and solutions, thereby striving to maintain and uphold the reputation as a professional sports training environment nationwide.
