Creating the foundation for the goal of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The school opening drum has rung, along with the whole country, teachers and students of all levels and grades in the whole province entered the new school year 2025-2026 in joy, excitement and determination to promote the spirit of solidarity, intelligence, creativity, and maintain the achievements of Thanh Hoa education on the "golden board" of national education.

Representatives of the provincial leaders and the provincial Department of Education and Training presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

Assessment from practice shows that the success of Thanh Hoa education in recent years is the result of the creative and dynamic leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the joint efforts of the whole society, and the tireless efforts of cadres, teachers and students in the whole sector. In particular, from the Party's educational guidelines and strategies, the education sector has flexibly applied them to find the right direction in direction and management. Therefore, the quality and effectiveness of education have been constantly improved through each school year. In particular, the scale and network of schools and classrooms have been planned and invested synchronously, creating favorable conditions for people, ensuring the right to study of students. Currently, the whole province has nearly 2,000 schools at all levels with the rate of solid rooms reaching over 91%. The rate of schools meeting national standards accounts for 86.8% with 1,719/1,980 schools meeting standards (the national average is 65%).

Along with facilities, the work of building a team of teachers and educational managers at all levels has also received attention and focus. In the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities (old) recruited 3,516 employees and contract workers as teachers to supplement the shortage of workers at educational institutions. Of which, 1,525 were recruited as education career civil servants and 1,991 contract workers as teachers according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP of the Government . According to statistics, out of a total of more than 54,000 managers, teachers and employees in the whole sector, the rate of managers and teachers with standard qualifications or higher reached 98.36%. Of which, the rate of teachers with standard qualifications or higher in preschools was 98.85%; Primary school is 97.55%, secondary school is 97.91% and high school is 100%. The rate of managers and teachers in the whole industry with qualifications above the standard according to the 2019 Education Law is 33.72%.

These are important premises along with the efforts of each teacher and student to create outstanding achievements in both mass education and key education. At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the quality of comprehensive education continues to be stable, mobilizing 100% of 6-year-old children to enter grade 1; the rate of primary school students completing the program is over 99.5%. The 2025 high school graduation exam has an average score of 6,309 points, ranking 7th out of 34 provinces and cities after the merger; the score of 10 is 1,031 points; there is 1 valedictorian in group X06; there are 7 runners-up nationwide. In the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 77/90 students participating in the exam winning prizes, reaching a rate of 85.6% (the rate of students winning prizes ranked 5th nationwide). Also in this school year, Thanh Hoa had 4 students participating in the second round of the selection of the International Olympic team in Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology; 1 student won a silver medal in the Asian Mathematics Competition held in Japan. With this result, Thanh Hoa continues to be in the top of the country in terms of key education.

Emphasizing the achievements of the education sector at the conference summarizing the 2024-2025 school year held at the end of August 2025, Acting Director of the Department of Education and Training Ta Hong Luu stated: “That is the result of the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee; the close coordination of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations; the solidarity, creativity, will, determination to overcome difficulties, and high responsibility of the team of managers, teachers, and workers in the entire sector. That is also the result of the consensus and support of the majority of people in the province for the cause of education and training in the province".

Promoting the achieved results, entering the 2025-2026 school year - the first school year to implement the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, along with major changes when the two-level local government comes into operation; Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training identifies key tasks that need to be focused on implementing such as: Thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the Central and provincial directives on education and training; focusing on solving difficulties and problems and guiding school units, cultural and social departments of communes and wards to advise local authorities on implementing educational development tasks adapting to the two-level local government model; ensuring that activities take place continuously, without interruption, and successfully completing the set tasks and goals. At the same time, focusing on reviewing, arranging and reorganizing the scale of schools and classes to ensure that they are reasonable and suitable to practical conditions. Continue to pay attention to and take care of building a team of teachers who are intellectually talented, professionally skilled and dedicated to their profession. Promote emulation movements to awaken the potential and creativity of each teacher and student, gradually realizing the goal of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation...

It can be seen that the development of the country in the new period will create many opportunities, but also pose many difficulties and challenges for the career of "growing people". However, with the achievements in the 2024-2025 school year, the provincial education sector is creating a solid mindset to enter the 2025-2026 school year with new confidence and spirit.
